Psalms 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight Oh Lord, My strength and my Redeemer.”
The words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart pretty much covers everything. The words of my mouth includes anything vocal that comes out of me. The meditations of my heart includes everything that stays inside of me, thought wise.
Let everything coming out and staying inside be acceptable in Your Sight Lord. This is actually a prayer. Lord let what I say and what I think be acceptable to you. It also makes me realize my strength to do well comes from God. He isn’t expecting me to handle my mouth and my thoughts by myself.
Not only does He want to be my strength but He is proclaiming that He is my Redeemer. Father thank You for providing for me. I need everything You have for me. I know I can’t do well on my own. I can only be acceptable to You through Your strength. You have me covered.
What a loving Lord.
A great verse for an author to remember!
I just returned from a trip to Alaska. What a beautiful place. I took a cruise that started in Van Couver BC and went up the Inside Passage of Alaska to end in Anchorage. What a great experience!
Alaska was one of those places I had always wanted to visit but didn’t really believe it would ever happen. There are other places I use to think I wanted to visit but the older I get, the more some of those have just fallen away. At least my interest has fallen. I’m sure those places are just as beautiful and interesting as Alaska was but I am becoming more content to enjoy the places close to home.
When I retired and settled into one place I looked at what interested me, tree covered hills or bluffs, flowers, not too harsh winters, beautiful fall leaves and family and chose a spot that had several of those. The USA has many places that fit the bill but I chose Weston, Missouri. It is a small town with alot of history and friendly people.
Alaska is a whole different atmosphere than Missouri but when I look at what Missouri has to offer, it is just as beautiful and fun filled. When we stop and look at where God has placed us, we can find things that are interesting in each place. God has created a wonderous earth.
We have just come through National Day of Prayer. It makes me wonder how we are praying for our country. Just what are we praying for?
Over the years I have heard people complain how America is going down hill. We complain about the violence and drug use. We wonder if America can even be considered a Christian nation anymore.
Psalms 106:23 says,
Therefore He said that He would destroy them,
Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach,
To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.
Can we stand in the breach before God and confess the sins of our nation? I believe we can and are called to do exactly that. My elderly Mother and I started doing this about a year ago. We would pray first and ask God to tell us a sin America is committing. Then we would confess that sin and ask God’s forgiveness. It was very interesting what God brought to our minds for us to confess.
Why don’t you give it a try? Confession needs to start with each one of us.
God bless America!
It is Easter! What a great day to remember what our Lord has done for us. There would be no way to have a relationship with God if it hadn’t been for Jesus dying on the cross. The best part is: He arose and is with us even now. Praise God!
I have been studying the Smashwords Marketing Guide and what a treasure chest of information. It has so many suggestions I just want to do them all right NOW!
Another good thing about the Guide is it tells exactly how to do each step. I am not the best with computers so I need something that spells it out in detail.
I appreciate the author not advising the reader to be pushy about promoting their books. I get so tired of always being ‘sold to’ by some people. Having worked in retail I understand getting the product in front of people, but there is a nice way to do that and there is an offensive way. Personally I turn off spam whether on my computer or in person.
But best of all, the guide is free. You can download it from Smashwords.com and get started right away.
My blog has morphed again. I decided to highlight the books I represent in my publishing company, Two His Glory Publishing.
Two His Glory Publishing is on the website Smashwords.com where you can see a short description of each book and also purchase them in several formats including epub, mobi, pdf, rtf, lrf, pdb, and txt.
Some of the short stories are free for your enjoyment and the others you can get a short sample to try before you purchase the book.
I look forward to adding more stories and books to this blog.
Thanks for visiting!
